This qualification has been designed to allow learners to obtain and then demonstrate the knowledge of employment responsibilities and rights required by apprentices and workers within the health and social care sector.
This qualification forms the Employment Responsibilities and Rights component of the Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care in England. The other components are:
Intermediate apprenticeship:
- BIIAB Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF)
- BIIAB Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care (QCF) (for apprentices undertaking the Adult Social Care pathway)
- Functional Skills in English and mathematics at Level 1
Advanced Apprenticeship:
- BIIAB Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (QCF)
- BIIAB Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care (QCF) (for apprentices undertaking the Adult Social Care pathway)
- Functional Skills in English and mathematics at Level 2
The primary purpose of the qualification is to prepare learners for employment in the health and social care sector.
As such, this qualification has value either as a stand-alone qualification or as part of an apprenticeship.
