The first point of contact should be the organisation where you would like to study. BIIAB works with a wide range of organisations that offer a variety of qualifications and assessments.

The number of learning hours differs for each qualification and is set by the organisation that you are studying at. For further information, contact the organisation at which you wish to study.

You may be entitled to further financial support through the Advanced Learner Loan Bursary Fund. The Bursary Fund can be applied for once you receive your letter confirming your Advanced Learner Loan. The fund is designed to help you cover the costs of accommodation and travel, course materials and equipment, child care, and/or classroom assistance for a disability and/or learning difficulty. 

The organisation at which you are studying may also be able to provide bursaries or grants.

The organisation you chose to study at will assess your learning needs. They will then be able to advise you about the support that can be provided to meet your specific needs.

Depending on the level you wish to study at, there may be entry requirements. These requirements are set by the organisation you choose to study at, but don’t let these be a barrier. Some organisations will consider professional experience if you do not have relevant qualifications.

Depending on the qualification you study, there may be an assessment. The organisation you choose to study at will tell you more about how your learning will be assessed.

The organisation where you are studying at is responsible for registering you with BIIAB. On completion of your studies, the organisation will notify us of your achievement, and we will then issue your certificate.

You will receive a notification from the organisation you’re studying at, with instructions to register on our Learner Portal. Once you have registered, you will be able to access your certificates and supporting documents.

To get a replacement certificate, you will need to complete this short form. Replacement certificates cost £30.00 (Incl. VAT). Once you have completed the form, please send it back to us, along with your proof of ID, to customersupport@biiab.co.uk.

For any certificates issued from 23 June 2021, please log in to your Learner Portal where you will be able to access a free copy of your Digital Certificate. If you require a hard copy of your certificate, you will be able to request this via your Learner Portal. This costs £30.00.

If your name has been spelt incorrectly on your certificate, please get in contact with your Centre which will be able to sort that out for you.

The National Careers Service is dedicated to helping you get the advice you need for future skills, careers, work and life choices. Using specially designed tools, the National Careers Service will help you move on in careers or get a foot on the job ladder.

If you have a complaint or want to make an appeal against an assessment decision, you will need to contact the organisation you studied at and follow their formal complaints and appeals process.

If you are still unhappy, you can contact our Compliance and Regulation team which may decide to look into the complaint. All complaints must adhere to our complaints policy and should be made in writing.
