This qualification has been designed to allow learners to obtain and then demonstrate the knowledge and skills required when working with children in early years settings, for example as an Early Years Educator, Childminder or Nursery Nurse.
The qualification is designed to make up the component parts of the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for the Children and Young People’s Workforce in Wales.
The primary purpose of the qualification is to confirm occupational competence. The Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Learning and Development (Early Years Educator) can be studied as a standalone qualification but it also meets the mandatory component requirements of the Early Year Educator End-point Assessment.
