Important update May 2026:
The above information relates to v1.3 of the Standard (and earlier).
As part of the apprenticeship reforms, Skills England have updated this standard to be assessed by mandatory qualification only in v2.0 of the Standard, available for new starts from 27 May 2026. Please see the Skills England page for more information: https://skillsengland.education.gov.uk/apprenticeships/st0005
Apprentices registered on v1.3 or earlier prior to the last date for new starts of 26 May 2026 can still proceed to complete their End-point Assessments. This must be achieved by the certification end date of 31 December 2027.
All apprentices registering from 27 May 2026 onwards will complete only the mandatory qualification specified in the Assessment Plan for v2.0 of the standard. There is no additional Apprenticeship Assessment for this Standard.
We offer a suitable qualification through Skills and Education Group Awards. The details can be found here: Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate – Skills and Education Group Awards : Skills and Education Group Awards
