This year, we’re celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2022 with our friends at Skills and Education Group Awards. The theme for this year is ‘build the future’, encouraging us to reflect on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career.
As an end-point assessment organisation, BIIAB makes the assessment process as simple as possible, providing targeted and specialised support services to make sure you and your apprentices are taken care of.

Since joining Skills and Education Group last year, BIIAB customers can now access other industry-leading end-point assessments in a variety of new sectors through Skills and Education Group Awards.
As part of their on-going commitment to the apprenticeship sector, they specialise in a variety of sectors for end-point assessment, ensuring that training providers, employers and apprentices are fully supported throughout the process.
While they have already become an established end-point assessment organisation for the British textile industry, they now offer end-point assessments for apprenticeship standards in the youth work and automotive sectors.
You can find information on their full list of end-point assessments here.
Case Study
We heard from Jacob Flanagan, a Tutor at Leeds City College delivering the Level 3 Events Assistant apprenticeship, who spoke about the positive impact apprenticeships have had at his Centre and how they are integral in developing a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills.
“I’m pleasantly surprised by the insights my learners show on a daily basis. I find them resilient, engaged, and optimistic – even through long stretches of working from home during COVID – a time especially difficult for young people.
“Apprenticeships help provide young people with genuine industry experience. This experience gives apprentices a meaningful head start over their peers in a learning environment that is so much more relevant than institution-based learning. Apprentices gain real-world experience and industry contacts while learning how to operate effectively in a business environment.
“BIIAB have provided crystal clear end-point assessment guidance, have responded quickly and effectively to queries and have made the end-point assessment process simple and efficient for not only the training provider but the apprentices as well.
“The independent end-point assessors are excellent communicators and have made our apprentices feel at ease with the whole process. I feel that the gradings have been fair and consistent.”
